About Coin Flip
Two sides, equal probability
Coin Flip keeps heads and tails at 50 / 50. You can rename either side or use quick labels such as Accept / Decline and Now / Later; empty labels still fall back to the default heads and tails text for display and verification.
Mode preference and replay data
Fast mode returns the side immediately; reveal mode animates set, toss, and land before showing the result. The shared mode preference is stored in localStorage, and each toss records seed, timestamp, mode, inputsHash, and the labels used for the two sides.
For clean two-way choices
Use it when both outcomes are acceptable and you only need a simple tie-breaker. It should not replace risk assessment, professional advice, formal voting, legal lottery procedures, or any decision where a random two-way split would be irresponsible.
FAQ
Common questions and answers about this topic.
Is this coin flip fair?
Yes. Each toss uses the same CSPRNG-backed random flow as the other Paji Lots tools, with heads and tails kept at equal probability.
Can I rename heads and tails?
Yes. Use the two side fields or quick labels. Empty fields still behave as the default Heads and Tails sides.
What is the difference between Fast mode and Reveal mode?
Fast mode lands immediately. Reveal mode briefly tosses the coin through the stage before showing the landed side, unless reduced motion is enabled.
